Nyheter angående kommande Heep-album

Spännande nyheter angående det kommande albumet (ännu utan titel). Det är Uriah Heeps 21:a album sedan 1970 och denna gång har de en ny medlem sedan Lee Kerslake hoppat av eftersom han är sjuk.

"All of the songs have now been written and rehearsed and sound just great. It will be a very rocky CD and we are all very happy with the results thus far. There are a few lyrics to be written, but these can be done at a later date. The music is all there, and we have reached new levels in the rehearsal room of great excitement. Russell has brought into the fold a wealth of ideas and energy, and has had an immediate impact on what we do. Mike Paxman has been there every step of the way too so we are all on the same page, and we cannot wait to go in and record everything. We are going into Chapel Recording Studios this Sunday and we are going back to the old tried and tested way of recording whereby we all set up in the same room and play.

It will be a very organic way of recording with mostly Guitar, Bass, Drums and Hammond Organ being the key instruments on every song. We are only in the studio for 12 days whereby we hope to have all of the backing tracks complete and some overdubs, and then we will review where we will record the vocals, solos, embellishments & mixing. We are still on track for the September release which is no small miracle considering the departure of Lee. I speak with Lee quite often and he is getting his health issues sorted out and is sounding a lot better. He has a long way to go but at least he has made a start and we all wish him well. Other than that it is onwards and upwards and we are looking at a full year of shows along with a new CD and it has been a long while since we have been able to say that.

Jag tror denna skiva kan bli riktigt, riktigt bra och kommande turné kommer att kännas mer vital än de tidigare.

Nya band till Sweden Rock Festival har också presenterats. Det var i torsdags som SRF-ledningen släppte nyheten.
